Cat Mail Co Items & Tools
Complete Cat Mail Co items reference — scales, scanners, stamps, stickers, boat equipment, and progression tools.
Equipment Overview
Cat Mail Co equips your post office with a growing toolkit of postal equipment. Each item serves a specific function in the parcel processing pipeline. Understanding what every tool does — and when it unlocks — helps you plan workspace layouts and upgrade investments efficiently.
Equipment unlocks through natural progression and purchased upgrades. No items require microtransactions or external purchases — everything is earned through successful postal operations.
Scale & Weighing Equipment
The scale is your first and most-used tool. Place parcels on the platform to read weight tiers that determine postage stamp requirements. The Bulk Weighing upgrade enhances scale efficiency, reducing per-package weigh time significantly. Position the scale adjacent to your processing desk for optimal workflow.
Without the Bulk Weighing upgrade, the scale becomes a bottleneck during high-volume shifts. This is why it ranks first in our Progression guide.
Conveyor Belt Scanner
The scanner unlocks during early progression and detects fragile or heavy properties on customer parcels. Place one package at a time on the conveyor belt — the scanner highlights which constraint stickers to apply in stamp mode. Only customer-handled parcels require scanning; backlog boat mail typically does not.
The scanner adds a quality-control step that prevents damaged returns. Integrate it between weighing and final storage placement in your processing pipeline.
Stamps & Stickers
Stamp mode provides access to multiple categories: destination labels, weight postage stamps, fragile stickers, heavy-duty markers, and decorative stamps. Each category serves a functional purpose except decorative stamps, which add personality and bonus earnings.
Functional stamps must be accurate — wrong weight tier or destination means returned mail. Decorative stamps are optional but contribute to a stamp bonus multiplier. See Package Handling for the complete labeling workflow.
Boat & Dock Equipment
The dock features the boat captain's station, loading area, and departure bell. At dusk, interact with the captain to review outgoing shipment requirements, load parcels physically onto the boat, and ring the bell when ready. The boat has no capacity timer — load at your leisure.
Dock operations pair naturally with the Dock Worker co-op role described in our Co-op Guide. Solo players should establish a pre-loading staging area near the dock to batch outgoing parcels before dusk.
Progression Tools & Upgrades
Beyond base equipment, progression unlocks Moonlight Insight (night vision for packages), Heavy Duty Carrying (large crate handling), storage extensions, counter expansions, and the Summer Room gateway. Each upgrade is detailed in our Progression guide with priority rankings.
Use our Postage Reference Tool alongside equipment knowledge to verify every parcel before it reaches the boat.
